Located just 15 minutes from Yorebridge House, The Forbidden Corner is a maze of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises nestled within a four-acre garden in Tupgill Park near Leyburn.

Open to the public since 1997, this whimsical folly was voted the best European folly of the 20th century. Visitors navigate without a map discovering burping dragons, secret passageways, hidden towers, optical illusions and sculptures at every turn. It’s a delightfully strange experience that excites adults and children alike.

Facilities include a café serving award-winning pies and cakes, plus a gift shop for quirky souvenirs. Pre-booking is required and parking is free.
