Like many modern love stories, Izzie and Oli’s began when they both took a chance on each other based on six carefully chosen photos and a handful of witty prompts. A Hinge match in London set their story in motion, turning chance into something extraordinary.
Fast forward to 2022, where Oli and Izzie found themselves in the floating city of Venice; Oli asked Izzie to spend forever with him. Against a backdrop of timeless romance, she said yes and their next chapter began.
From the very beginning, Izzie had dreamed of a marquee wedding, a true blank canvas where they could pour their personalities into every detail. Yorebridge was the first and only venue they viewed – you could say it was love at first sight! Surrounded by sweeping countryside views and the peaceful beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, it simply felt perfect.
With exclusive use of the grounds and house, our happy couples’ marquee wedding allowed the entire celebration to unfold naturally across beautiful spaces, each moment flowing seamlessly into the next. They exchanged vows in the sun-drenched Meadow beneath brilliant blue skies. Celebrations continued on the terrace with drinks and heartfelt speeches. Guests then gathered in the marquee ready to indulge in the wedding breakfast.
As evening fell, shoes were kicked off and everyone danced well into the night beneath the fairy light draped canvas. Those in need of a quiet moment could slip away into the house for a breather and rest tired feet. Every part of the day felt intentional and thoughtfully considered. The team at Yorebridge became part of the celebration, their warmth and enthusiasm matching that of the guests and ensuring every detail was as magical as Izzie and Oli had imagined.

Keen to see the dance floor filled from the very first song, our newlyweds chose to serve dessert a little differently. Rather than a formal final course, sweet treats were offered informally in the garden alongside cups of tea and coffee, allowing the guests to enjoy without missing any of the fun.
One of the most heart-warming moments of the day came with a surprise appearance from their beloved dog Oti, a joyful and unforgettable addition to the day.
Izzie chose a striking two-piece ensemble that reflected her modern yet romantic style. The cropped top featured playful crocheted detailing and a scalloped hem, adding texture and femininity. The flowing A-line skirt fell effortlessly to the floor, complete with subtle pleating at the waistband for a beautifully flattering silhouette.
Oli complemented her effortlessly in a tailored navy suit, paired with a soft grey waistcoat and a warm copper tie. The colour choice was thoughtful, adding depth and personality, perfectly echoing the relaxed elegance of the day.
After a day in the sun enjoying the celebrations, it was time to sit down and share a delicious meal with friends and family. To start, guests were served a Wensleydale and tomato tart. The main course was another local favourite, Wensleydale lamb with fondant potato and creamed cabbage.
Having dined at Yorebridge before, Izzie and Oli had fallen in love with the beef butter and couldn’t imagine the day without it. They specially requested it as an extra, a detail that felt both indulgent and wonderfully personal, it quickly became a favourite among guests too.

Barney from SP Wedding Films added another layer of magic, encouraging creativity and ensuring the day felt as joyful on film as it did in the moment.
Together, Olivia and Barney felt less like suppliers and more like additional guests, their relaxed energy and genuine enthusiasm blended seamlessly into the celebrations while preserving memories that will be cherished for years to come.
